Missed programs on the C-SPAN networks over the past few days and want to watch the archived video?

Here are some events from the week:

On Wednesday, President Obama delivered a statement on the beheading of U.S. photojournalist James Foley by Islamic State (ISIL, ISIS) militants, saying the act “shocks the conscience of the entire world.”

On Thursday, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Martin Dempsey briefed reporters about U.S. airstrikes in Iraq, the death of James Foley, and a failed effort to rescue him and other hostages.

Attorney General Eric Holder spoke Thursday about his recent trip to Ferguson, Missouri as part of a Department of Justice investigation into the police shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown. He and Assistant Attorney General also spoke about a $16.65 billion settlement with Bank of America over the sale of toxic mortgage bonds.

Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) spoke about state and federal policies related to the influx of unaccompanied immigrant children crossing the U.S.-Mexico border at an event hosted by the Heritage Foundation Thursday.
