9am ET Sunday
LIVE: Cuyahoga River Fire 50th Anniversary
The Cuyahoga River fire of 1969 helped galvanize the clean water and environmental movements -- even though it wasn't the worst fire the polluted river had seen. Historian David Stradling joins us from along the river in Cleveland to talk about the fire, the myths associated with it, the urban poverty and environmental crises of 50 years ago, and the campaign by Mayor Carl Stokes to find solutions. Mr. Stradling is co-author of "Where the River Burned: Carl Stokes and the Struggle to Save Cleveland." He'll answer viewer calls and tweets.

Saturday 6pm ET
The Civil War: Confederate Veterans in Mississippi
The National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania hosted University of Southern Mississippi professor Susannah Ural who talked about the treatment of Confederate veterans after the war as well as the Mississippi state pension system. She highlights the Jefferson Davis Soldiers' Home, which welcomed some African Americans as well as the wives and widows of veterans.

Saturday 8pm & midnight ET
Lectures in History: The Continental Army
American History TV visited the classroom of William Woods University professor Craig Bruce Smith who teaches a class about the American Revolution and the Continental Army. He describes how the force differed from the British military in demographics, organization, and the officer selection process. He also talks about the significance of military operations in the Northern colonies.

Sunday 8:35pm ET
Vietnam POW Wives
We look back to the Vietnam War era and hear from former POW wives who joined forces on behalf of their captive and missing husbands. Heath Hardage Lee is the author of "The League of Wives: The Untold Story of the Women Who Took on the U.S. Government to Bring Their Husbands Home." She's joined by two members of the National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia. The Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum hosted this event.
