Video Clip: Background Check Bills Passed in the House During the 116th Congress

Description

In February, 2019, the House of Representatives passed two bills relating to background checks. The bills would allow the FBI to have more time to perform background checks on gun purchasers and require background checks for all gun purchases. This clip explains both bills and includes remarks from House Minority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) and Representative Tom McClintock (R-CA). The bills would need to go to the Senate and signed by the President in order to become law.
