The House passed legislation to fund the government through September 30, 2022. The spending package originally included $15.6 billion in COVID-19 funding, but it was removed after Republicans raised objections about the lack of offsets. The bill includes nearly $14 billion in emergency aid to Ukraine in response to Russia's invasion of the region. Members also passed a bill banning oil and gas imports from Russia, and they also passed a a short-term stopgap measure to fund the government through March 15, 2022, in case the Senate did not pass the omnibus bill by the March 11 midnight deadline.
