The House approved two immigration policy bills. One would allow the deportation of migrants who have been convicted of, or admitted to, Social Security fraud. The other would deny any foreign person involved in the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel entry to the U.S. or to remain in the U.S. Members also passed two suspension bills, one of which is a $79 billion tax package that expands the child tax credit and provides a series of tax breaks for businesses.
