Senate Session - May 26, 1993

United States Senate resumed debate on S.3 Campaign Finance Reform Bill. The Senate defeated an amendment offered by Democratic Senator Paul Wellstone of Minnesota. That amendment would limit individual contributions to 100 dollars. The Senate also passed another amendment by Senator Wellstone putting a 25,000 of personal funds to used in a campaign. During the campaign Presidential Candidate Bill Clinton promised to modify campaign contribution laws by gets rid of PAC money.
