The Senate voted to repeal a Department of Homeland Security rule preventing non-citizens from entering the U.S. if they are likely to need certain government benefits. Members also confirmed Jeremy Daniel to be a U.S. District judge for the Northern District of Illinois, and voted to limit debate on two other judicial nominations: Darrel James Papillion, U.S. district judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana; and Nancy Abudu, U.S. circuit judge for the Eleventh Circuit.
