Participants discussed the ramifications of the global climate change Kyoto summit in December 1997. Mark Hambley of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development, focused on the negotiations to reach this agreement and the prospects for further negotiations. Tom Peterson, Congressional Liaison to the White House Task Force on Climate Change, focused on U.S. implementation of the agreement and the administration effort for congressional approval.
