Michael Dirda read from his book Readings: Essays and Literary Entertainment, published by Indiana University Press. The book is a selection of essays Mr. Dirda has written on a variety of subjects that include history, children’s books, fantasy, and crime fiction. In 1993 Dirda received the Pulitzer Prize for Distinguished Criticism. He talked about attending Oberlin College and his career as a journalist and author. Mr. Dirda also answered questions from members of the audience. close
