During his time in the U.S. Senate, Simpson served as majority leader, assistant minority leader, and chair of the Veterans' Affairs Committee. Archivist Leslie Waggener shared Senator Simpson’s personal and political story through items held in his special collection at the University of Wyoming American Heritage Center in Laramie, Wyoming.
