Historian, author, and tour guide Garrett Peck discussed the rise and fall of the 13-year experiment in America. He is the author of, The Prohibition Hangover: Alcohol in America from Demon Rum to Cult Cabernet and Prohibition in Washington, D.C.: How Dry We Weren’t. Prohibition was a constitutional amendment banning the manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors in the United States. close
