Jonathan Kozol spoke about his book, Amazing Grace: The Lives of Children and the Conscience of a Nation, about life in the South Bronx. The book outlined the psychological impact of living in such a blighted area on children and what U.S. society should do for them. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience.
