Senators and state and local leaders spoke to various congressional members and reporters about internet taxation. They urged Congress to reject the report submitted by the Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce, and claimed that the report was tainted by special interests. Among other issues was the inequality of taxing retail stores, but not internet retail. Following their prepared remarks, they also responded to audience questions and comments. close
