Mr. Davis talks about his book Jefferson Davis: The Man and His Hour, published by Louisiana State University Press. The book examines the private life and the public career of the president of the Confederacy during the Civil War. The author states in the book that Davis was a good man, but an ineffective leader unable to delegate authority, who is now often referred to as an “enigma.” Following his presentation, the author took questions from the audience. close
