Major General Robert Johnston updated reporters on events concerning the U.S. military in the Persian Gulf war. Maj. Gen. Johnston announced the continued shelling of Iraqi forces in Iraq and in Kuwait and the reduction of Iraqi SCUD attacks against Israel and Saudi Arabia. He said there was no evidence of preparations by the Iraqi forces for another military offensive into Saudi Arabia. close
