Senators Joseph Lieberman (D-CT), chairman of the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee, and Carl Levin (D-MI), chairman of the Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Investigations, spoke to reporters about their intention to hold hearings on the financial collapse of Enron. They said that they would look at the governance of Enron, their financial practices, and the federal government’s response to the collapse.
