Former co-anchor of PBS' MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour, Robert MacNeil discusses his memoir, Looking for My Country: Finding Myself in America," published by Doubleday. He talked about moving from Halifax, Novia Scotia, to New York City, where he worked as a television correspondent for NBC and PBS.

Mr. MacNeil was co-host of the “MacNeil-Lehrer NewsHour” for more than 20 years until his retirement in 1995. He also wrote other books, including Wordstruck: A Memoir, and Breaking News. close
