Iraqi citizens who were in the United States for medical treatment to replace hands that had been cut off by the regime of Saddam Hussein spoke to reporters. Topics included the situation in Iraq and whether it has been accurately reflected by reporters, Saddam Hussein’s treatment of the Kurds, weapons of mass destruction, the abuse of prisoners by Americans, the insurgents in Iraq, and their new hands. Questions were also answered by Dr. Joseph Agris, Houston Plastic Surgeon, and Mr. Baty, who worked on replacing the hands and by Don North, a documentary film producer whose documentary initiated the activity. close
