Delegation Breakfast Meeting

Speakers discussed the Democratic National Convention and the presidential election. Mr. Reiner spoke about the importance of the election in relation to the war in Iraq and the September 11 attacks. He criticized President Bush’s lack of “intellectual curiosity,” and asserted that the current international situation is “not black and white,” but “complex.” Ms. Richards described the current administration as “reprehensible, repressive, miserable, and awful,” and criticized Pres. Bush’s policies on energy, the environment, health care, the war in Iraq, and the economy. Mr. Dyer and Mr. Heinz spoke about Democratic efforts to reach young voters. close
