A panel discussed the Critics and Awards Program for High School Theater, a program that promotes and recognizes the development of high school theater arts and journalism. Otherwise known as the Cappies, the program was created after the Columbine shootings and demonstrates that young people can make positive contributions to building healthy communities. Members of the panel, composed predominantly of student critics, discussed theater criticism and the role of the Cappies program. Theatrical performances by students were also presented during the event. close
