Yaroslav Trofimov discussed his book Faith at War: A Journey on the Frontlines of Islam, from Baghdad to Timbuktu, published by Henry Holt and Co. The book examines the effects of American involvement in Muslim countries and the relationship between America and the Islamic World. His book was the result of his wanderings across the Middle East, encapsulating experiences of two major wars and countless smaller conflicts. He talked about his quest to engage ordinary Muslims, influential clerics, warlords, proponents of jihad, intellectuals, and heads of state, in conversations to create an intimate portrait of the Muslim world. After his discussion with Michele Wucker he answered questions from members of the audience. close
