The House Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity held a hearing on emergency housing needs following Hurricane Katrina. The Housing relief efforts can be categorized into three areas: immediate or emergency housing response, semi-permanent or permanent housing solutions, and long-term reconstruction.
