Comptroller General of the United States David Walker released the Government Accountability Office’s summary report of Hurricane Katrina recovery and reconstruction efforts, including new recommendations to improve government disaster preparedness and response. Also released were new findings on the status of levee repairs in New Orleans and the tracking of relief funds. Following his comments he answered questions from the audience. close
