For the fourth day, the House debated a non-binding Iraq War resolution saying that Congress would continue to support U.S. armed forces in Iraq, but it disapproves President George W. Bush’s decision to deploy more than 20,000 additional troops. The rule for the debate did not allow the minority to offer alternative language. Any member who wanted to speak was given five minutes. The resolution was approved on a vote of 246-182. close
