Jim Noles talked about his book A Pocketful of History: Four Hundred Years of America -- One State Quarter at a Time, published by De Capo Press. He talked about the U.S. Mint’s Fifty State Quarters Program. Starting in 1999, the U.S. Mint released a quarter representing each state in the order that the state was admitted into the U.S. He spoke on the symbolism of each state’s quarter and the process that went into the creation of the designs. close
