On this viewer call-in program, Senator David Pryor (D-AR), Chairman of the Select Committee on Aging, discussed a report released Tuesday on the high cost of prescription drugs and a proposal to eliminate tax subsidies for pharmaceutical companies. The drug companies had criticized the report.

He also spoke about his personal experiences with the health care system. Senator Pryor had recently returned to the Senate after recovering from a heart attack suffered earlier that summer. close
