John Siceloff , executive producer at the PBS program, NOW, talked about Your America: Democracy’s Local Heroes. For the book he profiled twelve Americans who created change in their communities with little resources or political experience. Profiles included a shrimp boat captain who initiated a drive to stop toxic dumping in the Gulf of Mexico and a migrant worker who improved Florida tomato fields work conditions.

Following his remarks, Mr. Siceloff introduced and spoke to Katharine Redford, one of the people included in his book. Mr. Siceloff and Ms. Redford responded to audience members' questions.

John Siceloff is the creator and executive producer of the PBS program, NOW. Mr. Siceloff has produced several other shows, including Dateline and 20/20, and is the recipient of Peabody, DuPont, and Emmy awards. He co-wrote Your America with Jason Maloney. close
