American Radical: The Life and Times of I.F. Stone
In his book Mr. Guttenplan recounts the life of journalist I.F. Stone. Utilizing several sources, including documents recently made available through the Freedom of Information Act, Mr. Guttenplan presents new insights on the columnist whose reportage spanned from the Great Depression to the Vietnam War. Mr. Stone, who wrote for The Nation, PM, and I.F. Stone’s Weekly, was often labeled an iconoclast who was tracked by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) during his career. Mr. Gutteplan responded to questions from members of the audience.
