Peter Mancall talked about his book Fatal Journey: The Final Expedition of Henry Hudson (Basic Books, 2009). In his book he recounts the expeditions of explorer Henry Hudson (1565-1611). Mr. Mancall focuses on Hudson’s final expedition in search of a Northwest Passage in the Artic in 1610, a voyage that resulted in Hudson’s crew committing mutiny and the explorer never being seen again. Professor Mancall showed slides throughout his presentation and then responded to questions from members of the audience.
