Azar Nafisi gave the keynote address at a forum on new media and social networking in Iran. She talked about her experience as a woman writer in Iran, the history of the country, and what a totalitarian society does to control and manipulate its people. She argued that the change movement in Iran is not just about a change in regimes but a change in mindsets. Following her remarks she responded to audience members questions. close
