Senator Carl Levin, chair of the Armed Services Committee, talked about U.S. military policy in Afghanistan and Pakistan, war spending, and other military issues. Topics included tolerance in the military and the state of the legislation to change the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Senator Levin toured military operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan earlier in the month, his second trip in 2010 to the region.
