Citing the latest jobs report, Commerce Secretary John Bryson said the last six months had seen the best rate of private sector job growth since 2006. According to the Labor Department, the economy created 200,000 jobs in December and the unemployment rate dropped to 8.5%. He also talked about a new Commerce Department report stressing the role of the federal government in spurring innovation and job creation. Following his remarks panelists spoke about innovation, job creation, and growth. close
