Curator Meghan Budinger talked about the historic Kenmore Plantation in the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia. The Georgian-style mansion was built by George Washington’s sister, Betty, and her husband Fielding Lewis. Lewis, a wealthy merchant in Fredericksburg, and his wife sacrificed much of their own wealth to help the war effort during the American Revolution.
