The two abolitionists wrote stories of escaped slaves, hoping to arouse support for abolitionism. The papers are held at the Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan.

Working with the Comcast Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed.
