Senator John McCain (R-AZ) talked about political unrest in Ukraine and his recent visit to the country. Protests in that country began on November 21, 2013, in response to the Ukrainian government’s refusal to sign a comprehensive free trade agreement with the European Union. Senator McCain said that the U.S. should take a stronger position in support for Ukrainian citizens' quest for freedom and that the U.S. should stand up against Russia. After his speech, he answered questions from moderator Damon Wilson and members of the audience. close
