Homeland Defense and Civil Authority Panel

Panelists talked about the coordination of state, local, and federal resources during domestic crises. They examined the legal and policy issues associated with the military and civil response to these emergencies. Topics included response to Tropical Storm Sandy and the use of drones to combat California wildfires.

“Homeland Defense & Civil Support: Domestic Military Roles and Responsibilities” was a breakout session of the Ninth Annual Homeland Security Law Institute held by the American Bar Association Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
