Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber (D) delivered an address for his second term as governor after being inaugurated in the Senate Chamber. He had also served as governor eight years from 1995 to 2003. In his address, Governor Kitzhaber talked about his father’s generation, his life, and how Robert F. Kennedy’s 1968 presidential campaign had inspired him to public service. He also talked about topics such as income inequality. He closed with a quote from Oregon poet Kim Stafford.
