Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell testified on her department’s fiscal year 2016 budget request. The request totaled $83.8 billion, including funds for improving access to health care by funding new health centers and increasing telehealth in rural communities. Secretary Burwell said there was no plan should the Supreme Court rule against the government in King v. Burwell, as that would mean her department would not have the authority to provide subsidies and thus could not resolve the subsidy issue. close
