The Selected Letters of Willa Cather
C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2015 LCV Cities Tour” in Lincoln, Nebraska, from May 3-7 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Time Warner local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2.

Andrew Jewell, co-editor of The Selected Letters of Willa Cather, talked about the author and her letters. The letters include humorous reports of life in Red Cloud, Nebraska, in the late 19th century, notes from her college years at the University of Nebraska and as a journalist, as well as those written during her rise as a novelist.
