Curator Jackie Serwer gave a tour of the National Museum of African American History and Culture exhibit of six recently restored murals depicting the Amistad slave revolt, the subsequent trial and repatriation, the Underground Railroad, and the founding of Talladega College. The murals were painted between 1938 and 1942 and originally hung in Talladega College’s Savery Library. close
