Members of the Congressional Black Caucus and minority scholars participated in a workshop entitled, “The Politics of Diversity: Towards a New Paradigm of Empowerment in the African-American Community,” during the 22nd annual Congressional Black Caucus legislative weekend. The panel reflected a number of perspectives on issues in the African-American community, and panel members sought to determine new strategies for African-Americans to realize their goals in American society. Panel members responded to questions from members of the audience following their prepared remarks. close
