Mr. Leonard Robinson Jr., Deputy Secretary of State for African Affairs

spoke on “Promise and Challenges of Democracy Toward Africa.” He drew on his experience and research on Africa to discuss the political situations in African countries, and the role the U.S. might play in promoting democracy in emerging Nations.

Following his prepared remarks, Sec. Robinson responded to questions from the audience.
