Federal Election Commission Chair Joan Aikens spoke about the administration of public financing in the 1992 presidential campaign. She provided statistics about the number of Americans who participate in the $1 federal income tax checkoff that publicly financed presidential candidates and political party conventions. She talked about the status of the presidential election campaign fund and what that meant for the 1996 presidential race.
