Secretary of State John Kerry chaired a U.N. Security Council meeting on the Syrian civil war and international efforts to combat ISIS.* Foreign affairs ministers from Security Council member states and the Syrian Ambassador to the U.N. delivered statements. At the start of the meeting, Security Council members unanimously approved a resolution endorsing a peace process for Syria. The resolution calls for a ceasefire and talks between the Syrian government and Syrian opposition.
