President Obama held a closing news conference for from his fourth and final Nuclear Security Summit, held March 31 and April 1, 2016, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The president stated that over the preceding six years global leaders had made significant progress in securing nuclear materials so they would not fall into the hands of terrorists. In addition, he addressed questions about U.S. drone strikes against ISIS,* Iran’s nuclear program, U.S.-Russia nuclear arms reductions, press freedom in Turkey, and the 2016 presidential election.
