Former Housing and Urban Development Secretaries Mel Martinez and Henry Cisneros and former Representatives Allyson Schwartz and Vin Weber talked about improving health care and housing policies for America’s senior population. They released the Senior Health and Housing Task Force report, Healthy Aging Begins at Home, about the importance of coordinating housing and health care services to meet the needs of the rapidly growing older population, saying that it was time for Congress to act on issues such as Medicare sustainability, long term care insurance, and affordable housing for seniors. close
