Defense Secretary Ashton Carter and William Perry, Secretary Carter’s Clinton administration predecessor, talked about technology and innovation at the Pentagon. Secretary Carter said all ongoing Defense Department innovation efforts are aimed at maintaining the U.S. military as the “finest fighting force in the world.” Both he and former Secretary Perry discussed several issues, including private industry partnerships, cybersecurity efforts, and autonomous systems as part of the U.S. arsenal. close
