Federica Mogherini, the chief foreign policy official of the European Union, spoke with Fred Kempe about future relations between the U.S. and Europe. High Representative Mogherini met with several officials on her first trip to Washington since President Donald Trump took office. She stressed the important relationship between the two regions and said she felt reassured about the U.S. commitment to several issues discussed during her meetings, including the Iran nuclear deal and Ukraine, but added that it was important for the U.S. and the EU to not interfere in each other’s politics. close
