Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov delivered remarks and answered questions on the Iran nuclear deal. He spoke at the annual Moscow Nonproliferation Conference. In his remarks, he stressed that any break up of the Iran deal would send an “alarming” signal to the international community and could threaten global security, especially as it pertains to the situation in North Korea. The foreign minister’s comments came one week after President Trump announced the U.S. would not certify the deal and said it was one of the worst and most “one-sided transactions the U.S. has ever entered into.” close
