Officials from the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the U.S. Air Force testified at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on proposed legislation from Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) that would introduce new firearm regulations and update the nation’s criminal background check system. The bill aimed to ban the sale of bump stock attachments and similar devices which enable semiautomatic weapons to mimic automatic weapons and fire at a faster rate. close
